• Draft policies on the Wiki - deadline

   

  Make any final edits to the Collection Retention, Preferred Journal Format, or Remote Storage Policy drafts by Friday 10/19 so that Martha can review them with Admin.

• SRLF allotment

   

  S&E estimates 6,000 appropriate volumes appropriate for SRLF, this in addition to estimates from other departments made at the 9/19 meeting.  Since IRPS and Music collections will be scanned by Google, those volumes should probably be included and scanned before sending to SRLF, whether from the Annex or stacks.

   

  The case can be made in a proposal to double our 16,000 annual SRLF allocation for the next two or three years.

   

  ACTION:  Sam and Martha will draft a proposal as soon as possible.

• Projects updates

   

  Preliminary stats were reported from the S&E and SSH pilot projects to check NRLF holdings against lists of mono titles designated for SRLF.   S&E has found 15% of their titles are at NRLF when not at SRLF, SSH found 25% are at NRLF.   These projects have required a title by title search in the UCB catalog or Melvyl.   Indications are that WorldCat Local will be more accurate and efficient for such work if RLF holding symbols are incorporated.
