Annex Procedure Document: The group reviewed a proposed draft of a potential expansion of the Remote Storage Policy [or separate document entirely] that seeks to define the process for planning transfer of collections to and from the Annex. There were some edits suggested and incorporated into the document. The draft has been forwarded to Martha for further review with Admin group. We will revisit and confirm hopefully next meeting, and remind CMWG members to review with bibliographers in their area.
SSHL’s plans to weed extensively on the 6th floor of the tower. The target for this program weeding project. Now that the BML material selected to go to the SRLF is on its way, we're actively developing the list of what remains, and making decisions on bringing back, tagging to go to SRLF, or straight to withdraw. We want to complete this, and do a shift of the on-site BML journal collection during Summer 08. Linh Huynh, David Pollett, and Jeff Williams are working together to massage the data. Kevin Westerfeld and David Pollett will be leading the effort on planning for the journal shifting.

This is a process to batch identify single-volume monographs in Roger that are duplicated at SRLF or UCLA by checking their holdings symbol in Connexion (the technical services side of WorldCat). Before this process can be started, the subject specialist needs to identify an area to be weeded,give criteria for volumes that can leave the collection (e.g. published more than 10 years ago and not checked in 10 years), and communicate this information to Database Management.
